Hi everyone!, I can't believe it is May already! This year is going so fast! Time truly flies when you're either busy or just having fun!
I've had a bad few weeks to be honest, right down to a virus hack on my computer that locked it from the
inside, thank goodness my Dad was able to help and get my pc to a repair shop to be sorted out! I was worried as the man at the shop said that he'd more or less have to wipe everything off the computer, including my work, but thankfully he was able to save
not only my work, but also the pictures I have saved on my pc and more than anything, the new covers that I have secured through my new contact Ida at amygdala design.
You'll be pleased to know that I'm in the last stages now of my tweaks and changes
that I wanted to make to the manuscript, and that I have the details for both publishers and agents that I'm interested in sending it off to. That will be happening in the next few days, all being well.
Just this last week I finished reading a book
by Katherine Webb, an Author who you may remember was selected by the TV Book Club (Channel 4 if I remember rightly); her debut novel, "The Legacy" being chosen as the best summer read. I have read "The legacy" and enjoyed it so much that I have followed up
with "The Unseen" and the latest of Katherine's releases, "A half forgotten song". It is this latter novel that I was reading last week and I can honestly say I loved it. I love the way that Katherine writes her characters and draws you, the reader into the
book, to the point that you can't put it down. I certainly couldn't and I didn't mind one bit. I Won't tell you what happens, I just urge you to go out there and buy a copy of "A half forgotten song" and read it for yourselves.
May is the month of change,
of springtime, of new, fresh starts. So have a sit down, think about what new starts you want, what changes do you want to make, maybe now is the time that you renew those almost long forgotten resolutions that you made at New Year; Whatever it is that you
do for the next few weeks till I catch up with you again, stay safe, and above all, Keep Reading!
