Hi everyone,
most of the way through August already! these months are flying past. 4 weeks to go before my Austrian adventure
- i'm looking forward to the holiday, and writing the travel diary for you guys!
Of course i can't write this without acknowledging that we have lost of the best and funny minds in Robin
Williams. His ability to switch from one character to another was brilliance in itself. I'd like to think that Robin has found peace in his own version of heaven as imagined in "Whatever Dreams may Come" - a sad but amazing film. Rest easy Robin, we salute
you x
Those of you who catch up with me regularly now i'm a fan of paranormal romance novels, Nalini Singh, Sherrilyn Kenyon and so on. I was shopping in a local bookstore last weekend and
was told something troubling. Apparently there aren't enough writers out there doing paranormal romances anymore. The store didn't have enough variations to retain the separate section so had mixed the books in the the Sci-Fi and Fantasy. I found this surprising
and a little sad.
Maybe this is a reult of shoppers habits nowadays - are we still buying the same style books that we were 10, 15 years ago? Not too sure, but remember to support your favorite
authors, buy their books - and not just E-Books, but actual paperback or hardback books.
my challenge for you this month is simple - go to yourlocal bookstore and buy 5 books within your
favorite genre. It doesn't matter if they are romance, horror, paranormal, fantasy. Whatever they are, buy them. But don't just sit them on a shelf to gather dust, read them, enjoy the story as the author meant them to be enjoyed. Then write and let me know
how you've gotten on.
As always take case, stay safe ad Keep Reading!
