2018 - Here we come!

Good Morning everyone! Happy New Year to you all!

What plans do you have to celebrate this new year? I'm at home with the other half, I'm cooking - ok so the slow cooker is doing the hard work, but I'm making my own Yorkshire Puddings!

On a different note, I've spent the last few days really getting stuck in with my writing course and I've finished reading unit 2 - aptly named Practical Novel Writing. I'm about to start my second assignment. For some reason I am more nervous about this assignment than I was the first. I think it is because I am about to showcase to my tutor (someone who has been an established writer for much longer than I have) what I can do with fiction.

I have so many ideas in my head it is hard to know which one to use. I plan to spend today making my plans for the assignment and seeing what I can do to get started. I'll let you know how I get on.

I'm also planning to do something radical this year. This year for me needs to be the year of change and this includes getting things out in the open as it were, getting issues off of my chest and letting people understand once and for all. Cryptic, I know, but please bear with me as this will become clearer over the coming weeks and months.

Now we move onto the inevitable - New Year's resolutions - Have you made any? How many is too many? As you can tell, one of my resolutions is to make changes in my life that will hopefully be for the better. I plan to gain a little more confident in my writing and the course I am doing is a great way for me to get that confidence boost that I have needed in a long time.

I also plan to update my blogs a lot more often than I have been doing up to now (I apologise) and I want to get back onto the monthly updates that I was doing before. I'm picking up pace with my reading as well so I will be able to keep up to date with the book reviews which I'm happy to say have proven to be popular online, so thank you!

I'll leave you now to go back to whatever it is you were doing with a thought. Life is too short for regrets. Don't waste this year with petty arguments over nothing at all. Live each day to the fullest, make the most of every opportunity that presents itself. Live by the Law and Live for your family. Don't allow your work to be the only thing that defines who you are. You all have things that you keep putting off till tomorrow, till next week, month and so on. Why put it off? Tomorrow might never come. We will all experience highs and lows, some more than others. Before you act against someone, think about how you would fell if they were acting against you. Be a person that someone else admires and looks up to, be that role model you strive to be. Make yourself proud of what you have achieved.

As always, stay happy, stay safe and Keep reading! x
