My Favourite Romance and Romantic Comedies

Okay, we all have a romantic side don't we? Well I do. I may not show it too often but I do like to read a good RomCom and have a laugh at the characters antics as they fall in love. Here are a few of my favourite romantic Authors and the books I know you'll enjoy.

My Favourite Horror Stories

Just as much as we love a bit of romance in our lives, we're also known to welcome in a little bit of horror too. A little secret - the first time I read Stephen King's Misery I didn't dare go to sleep for a week after!

So, for those of you looking for a good scare, here's my list of favourite horror stories.

Stephen King - Misery, Bag of Bones, Needful Things, Firestarter, The Green Mile, Carrie, Salem's Lot and Pet Cemetary.

James Herbert - Haunted, The Ghosts of Sleath, '48, The Magic Cottage, The secret of Crickley Hall.

Richard Laymon - The Beast House, The Stake, Amara, One Rainy Night.

Edgar Allen Poe - Collected Tales

Mary Shelly - Frankenstein

Bram Stoker - Dracula

I also love some of the more Gothic Horror that is out there today;

My Favourite Crime Novels

We all like a good crime novel don't we? We like to get in there and pretend we're solving the crime at the same time as the master Detective leading the case, saving the day and preventing another crime from happening? Well here's a few of my favourite crime novels for you to sink your teeth into...

James Patterson - The Alex Cross novels, The Women's Murder Club series, Detective Michael Bennett series, plus his stand alone novels - I love them all!

Patricia Cornwell - The Kay Scarpetta series - seriously good novels, I love that you can follow the lead character through the books.

Ruth Rendell - Simisola, The Keys to the Street.

Agatha Christie - the Poirot novels.

Jeffrey Deaver - the Lincoln Rhyme novels, the Kathryn Dance novels.
