New Monthly 5 Book Review

"Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculier Children" by Ransom ...

Readers of my blog will have noticed me gushing about this series of books by Ransom Riggs. I love them.

Imagine living in a 'time loop' and being forced to relive the same day over and over again, a little like "Groundhog Day", but this day being part of the second world war, with bombs dropping every night.

Imagine growing up beliving that you're a regular teenager, nothing special about you, only to discover that you have abilities that you didn't know you had.

Now imagine these two worlds coming together. This is what happens in Ransom's books and to great effect. The story, mixed with old photographs really brings the characters to life and draws you into the books.

The first book of the series has now been made into a movie due for release shortly - I can't wait to see it.

Nothing less than a 5 book rating from me - I absolutely love these books! You're missing out on something special if you don't read these books.
