Hi everyone!, Welcome back to my book review series. Today's review is "The Great Zoo of China" by Matthew Reilly.
As most of you know, I'm a huge fan of Matthew Reilly's books and have been for years now. I love the fast paced adventure and action in the books and "The Great Zoo of China" doesn't disappoint.
Neil Oliver is quoted on the front cover of the books saying the books is "Jurassic Park with Dragons" and he isn't wrong.
Matthew has a way of writing that makes you believe that anything is possible - in "Contest" (spoiler alert), there's a fight that takes place between a number of alien races (including us) and this
time around it is Earth's turn to hold the contest. While the idea of this or a zoo containing Dragons might be far fetched, you can't help but think, 'Why not, it could be true'.
In truth, I couldn't put the book down, I devoured it in a matter of hours. I know, I know, I'm lucky I could spare the time, but really when there's nothing on the box, what is better to do than sit down with a good book and becoming absorbed
Trust me, you'll do the same thing I did - read it in one go!
If you've not read Matthew Reilly's books before, now is a good time to start. His debut novel is "Contest". Matthew has also written a couple of series, the Jack West Jnr series (begins with "Seven Ancient Wonders") and the Shane 'Scarecrow'
Scofield series. I have all of the books so far and I'm going to be picking up the latest Jack West Jnr book soon as well. I really love the books and would highly recommend them.
An absolute 5 book score from me - I love the book and this was the 2nd time I've read it.
Enjoy, and as always, Keep Reading!
