Welcome Book Club Members

Good Morning! Happy May! The sun is shining, and it is the birthday of one of our group - Very Happy Birthday to Caroline Pitchfork! Many happy returns of the day lovely x
So, what have we been reading over the last month?? Something good I hope. This month is something new, I haven't read this author before myself so I'm looking forward to this one - "She Lies In Wait" by Gytha Lodge.
The tag lines drew me in on this one. "Six Friends. One Killer. Who do you trust?" and "Seven teenagers went down to the woods. Only six came back."
Enjoy, Let me know what you think. Stay safe, look after each other and as always, Keep Reading! x

Welcome to April! Ok, a week or so late, but you get the idea.
Hopefully you're still enjoying the books and will continue to do so. This month I pose a challenge. We all have that one book that we've been meaning to read for an age and all we seem to have let it do is gather dust.
Now is the time to get that book down from the shelf, or out of the drawer and read it!!
I want you to take a picture of the book, and post on the page here, telling us about it. Mine for the month is an e-book so I can't take a picture, but I'll be reading "Rebecca" by Daphne Du Maurier.
I can't wait to see what books you've chosen!! Enjoy and I'll see you next month!

Happy March everyone! Another month, another book to read.
For this month I've chosen "Dark Matter" by Michelle Paver. Something a little different for you to get stuck into.
Enjoy, and I'll see you next month! Stay safe x
Good Morning! I hope you've been enjoying the book you chose to read this month.
For February, I've chosen something a little different for the group in "The Witchfinder's Sister" by Beth Underdown.
The blurb (back of the book) reads - '1645. when Alice Hopkins's husband dies tragically, she returns to Manningtree, the small Essex town where her brother Matthew still lives. But home is no longer a place of safety. Whispers are spreading - of witchcraft, and the terrible fate awaiting the women accused. And at the heart of it all stands just one man.... To what lengths will Matthew's obsession drive him? And what choice will Alice make, when she finds herself at the very heart of his plan?'
Happy Holidays! Sorry it has been a while, I've had a lot going on.
As it is a festive time of year, I'm going to give you a choice of books to pick to read over the coming weeks.
"The Broken Window" by Jeffrey Deaver
"The Taker" by Alma Katsu
"The Wolves of Midwinter" by Anne Rice
"Hetty's Farmhouse Bakery" by Cathy Bramley
"The Woman in White" by Wilkie Collins
The choice is yours!
Let me know which one you fancy reading, share your thoughts on the book with the group here once you've read it and most of all, have a good holiday break, whatever you're doing x
